Concept art helps you to visualize the idea.

Visualisation diagrams:

Shows different angles of the product, showing the process and also the 'colour scheme'- can be altered and changed at any point. Justifying reasons with annotations.

Buzz Lightyear- Before Toy story was made they had to give visualization diagrams of the characters. Of course, there are similar features between the diagram and the real thing however a lot of the features are changed (which would have been done within the process)


Flat Plans:
Flat plans can be used to see the layout and context for a magazine, it is made before anything is made. They always start with adverts. It is colour coded. 


Prototypes:
DIfferent versions and materials until you get the one you want so that you can visualize your product.
a first or preliminary version of a device or vehicle from which other forms are developed.





Mock-ups:
Model or replica of different types of products within the same company
